Zhang Guohua, Deputy Governor of the Yunnan Provincial People's Government said that Yunnan obtained a rapid development that coincided with China's reform and opening up. Since the late 1970s, its annual GDP grew by an average of more than 9 percent, while revenue grew by an average of 7.1 percent annually and the actual utilization of foreign capital climbed to 65 billion yuan ($9.71 billion). Its bilateral and multilateral cooperation mechanism with South Asia and Southeast Asia has become a model of regional cooperation.

Themed, Gathering in the Frontier of Opening Up, Jointly Building a Radiation Center and Sharing Prosperity and Development, the SSACEIF will provide 17 pavilions for exhibitors from participating countries to convert their economic complementarities into a driving force for development, promote investment and consumption, and create more jobs.
